ASUS Strix Z270E Mobo + H440 Case fan hub (Help Needed)

So like listed above that's my Mobo + case atm, first build; learned a lot from hours of building... ****s no joke. But I have run into one problem, not really a problem, more like a confusing dilemma. I've been told that wiring the fans (which im using stock ones atm) directly to an ASUS MOBO is actually better than using the H440 PWM Hub. Supposedly ASUS mobos have really good fan control, which would be great if it's true. Now, IF it is true, since my fans are stock, and only 3 pins, where do I plug them into, because I have no idea. And if it's better to actually use the PWM HUB, how do I hook it up?

I currently have my CPU cooler plugged into the "CPU_FAN" on the mobo, and under it I have the PWM hub connected to the "CPU_OPT" header. Now the last time I checked the BIOS the only fan being picked up is the CPU fan, and I can set it to whatever I want, or just allow the Mobo to do it's job. BUT no other fan is being read under the BIOS, they work, but they are listed as N/A. I'll leave a picture of the PWM hub below and hopefully someone can give me some kind of insight, much appreciate it advance, and I will be watching over this post until someone can help. Thanks!

A fan will only report it's speed if it's 4-pin. If using the fan hub, only the fan connected to the 4-pin port, if it's a 4-pin fan, will report a speed back to the MB. 3 pin fans will work, but will not report their speed.

I have a similar setup and I do use the hub. I have the hub connected to the CHA 1 on the MB and set the speeds as I wanted in the bios. This way all my case fans are synced.
