Asus Strix LC III 360 Thermal Paste

I was not sure where I would get the quickest response to this.  I continue to help someone build an ROG build before I build my own next one.....

They are using an Asus Strix LCIII 360 and I noticed there is an area on the outside where some of it came off as they must have had the protector off.

It is a small area....and my sense is it us probably okay as most of the heat is in the center.  But better safe than sorry would it be better to just remove the remaining paste from the AIO (none on CPU yet) and just put on a few rice beads of good thermal paste?  I've been using NT-H1 in my builds but I assume based on an old post I saw here that it might be better for thermals anyway as this will be a heavy gaming machine?

Thanks,
BJBBJB

Hello BJBBJB

It might be ok, but if you have a quality thermal paste, I'd use it over the stock pre-applied thermal paste.

You should get a little bit better temps.
