New machine running fine for two weeks. Then, the network card disappeared after being woke up. Reboot would not fix it. Needed to power it down, unplug it, then plug it back in. Network came back. Happens now about 10% of the time: lan network is not present...RealTek 2.5Gb. The wifi interface is present, but I don't use it.
I decided to wipe the entire drive and do a clean install of Windows 11 and the same thing happens.
In the Device Manger for the network adapter, I've gone to the "Power Mangement" tab and turned off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and that did not help. This is using the default Windows 11 drivers that get autodetected.
I went to RealTek site and used their latest drivers and have the same problem.
I bought a pci-e network card and am using that as it doesn't have this problem. I see others having similar issues with Realtek and network adapters failing to come back after sleep/wake.
Any suggestions? Sad that this is a problem on a brand new machine and even a fresh build.
