Hi I heard ROG is THE place as an owner of a newly acquired Maximus V Formula to get advice and direction on building a streamlined pc.

The goal is to play BF4 in 1080p (MLG settings) on a vg248qe (also newly acquired) keeping frame rates highest possible,I want to take full advantage of what this monitor is capable of.

Other parts on hand are 2 x 4 gig Gskill ripjaw 1600mhz ,Corsair tx750 psu, full hight Antec tower, suitable hard drives and Windows 8.1 64

What else is needed to meet to stated goal ? Yes I'm game for over clocking ,$700.00 (Canadian) left to spend including a copy of BF4 (unless I get a free one)

I'm looking at this as a no bottleneck, parts in harmony kind of system if you get my meaning (such as Alienware),I think that about covers it ,thanks for taking the time to look it over.

nvidia card or amd card??
some of the amd card range have bf4 as bundle in them.
as of now the 780ti is top of the line of the cards and the 290x comes second.
and they both cost a few dimes.
look over prices online and post back here of what cards you like or are in your range .

hey kkn, video card brand doesn't matter whatever gets me to the goal.Toying with the idea of breaking the bank a little further and xfiring a couple of 280 or 280x 's,still need a cpu.
