Is there a way to allocate the Unallocated HDD space on Disk0 here?

Thanks, that worked. 😄 Now how do I get the OS to recognize my spanned RAID volume with a drive letter? it's Disk1 below.

Right click on the unallocated partition and assign a drive letter.

When I take the identical 250 Gb drives out of RAID to try to set them up in RAID from the OS, I get the error below highted in red:

38791

I've got the pair of drives connected to my SATA 300 ports on the Maximus V GENE board, because that's how fast they are.

I could move the 2 TB drive to an Asmedia SATA 600 port and shift these 2 RAID drives Intel SATA 600 port instead.

Do you think that will resolve the signature collision confict?

Thanks MeanMachine, but I don't get an option to assign a drive letter. Spanned and striped volume options are gray-ed out. Only simple volume exists. In that picture the volume was a spanned RAID volume (RAID1), setup in BIOS.

I think that somehow it's setup.

Success! 😄

Changed the SATA cables around and I get the right result. Mirrored RAID1 array setup in BIOS, then assigned as a simple volume in Computer Management, which then asks for a drive letter.

The RAID volume is now recognized as drive E: by the OS, and is redundant enough for valuable family pictures.
