Im building a gaming pc but on alittle budget i can go over it but its for everything besides a Monitor, the reason why i can go over it is because im building additional 2 computers for my brothers (but you know my computer will be the best)

Got a R25k spending limit
USD: 2428.60
GBP: 1556.85

(google currency convertor was used to convert the amounts)

I got the other components but im torn between a AMD FX-8350 and Intels i5 4670k

What would you recommend?

other components include:

Seasonic X Series 750W Power Supply
G.Skill Ripjaw Z 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Club 3D HD7870XT Joker 2GB
Cooler Master V8 GTS CPU Cooler
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7 AMD 990FX Chipset ATX Motherboard / MSI Z87-GD65 GAMING
Sandisk Ultra Plus - Solid State Drive - 128GB (for OS only)
Western Digital Caviar Green - 2TB

For gaming the 3570k with the Maximus V Gene should do the job...

so you would not recommend the 4th gen CPU? the reason why i chose the choice was because the next gen (5th gen )will probably also use the LGA 1150 so if i want to upgrade its no need taking out all the components and purchasing new ones.

But thanks for advice dude

Well, I was thinking primarily on the price... have no idea what socket will the 5th gen CPUs using... - so, if you can fit the LGA1150 mobo and CPU in your budget, then perhaps you should go that way...

Double-check if you also could upgrade your graphics card to a HD7970... even a reference one, I believe, would be a little bit stronger than you choose initially...

Okay cool i can get the above mobo for a discounted price from a friend. the Asus HD7950 HD7950-DC2T-3GD5 DirectCu II 3GB fits nicely if i pick the amd system.

The Intel i5-4670k with the MSI Z87-GD65 would get my vote. That and I'd switch the Sandisk SSD for a Samsung 840.

yeah. Either a Samsung 840 pro or the sandisk extreme II which is just as fast....840 pro owners are supposed to be getting some sort of upgrade soon of some sort that I read about over at toms hardware.

The Intel is currently going to take the performance side of things from AMD, the VGA is good and will do what you need it to do with few problems. I can not comment on the motherboard. 🙂
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
