Is anyone having a problem with the 9950X3D not parking cores in battlefield 6. I have everything set up power plans balance, bios settings, all done correctly set to driver and chipset drivers are all up-to-date, game bar is enabled game mode enabled. Most of my games work fine so I’m just not sure.

Hi both,

Can you try the following:

1. Update Windows Game Bar.

2. Then go Settings > General > Remember this game

3. Create a User.cfg file and place that in the BF directory

; --- threading (cap Frostbite to 8) ---
Thread.ProcessorCount 8
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0

Same thing seems to be happening with my 7950X3D.  All cores are being used and none parked.

I have excatly same problem with 9950x3d. Core not parking.I try also with this command. Cure have park yes but on wrong cache. This just put x3d cache on sleep. I think is something ea and new anti cheat program. Excatly same problem i have on fc 26.

BF3,BF4,1,5  working just fine. Something in game code blocking 9950x3d and core parking. I looking for solution from beta. For now no sucess 😞

This fix worked for another user with 9950X3D.

I used this according to a guide before i seen your response and now it parks just fine. Should I use just 8+8 without the 16? My cpu utilization is only about 15% now. Project lasso didn't even help park it correctly. THANK YOU!

This does not work on my Asus X870E Hero and  9950X3D. Battlefiled 6 refuses to park cores properly. Both CCDs are active, but CCD1 is getting hammered at 90%+ usuage.I am on the lates BIOS 1715 all up to date drivers, chipset etc. I am also running Windows 11 version 25H2. This imbalance is causing massive power draw I’m seeing close to 200W just from the CPU running this game.

There are reported issues with this processor, and they are currently working on solutions. This is why I chose the 98003Dx processor. Here is some info that could help until they fix the issues according to copilot.

  1. Update BIOS: Ensure the motherboard is on the latest firmware to incorporate voltage caps and memory compatibility improvements.
  2. Limit EXPO Use: Prefer JEDEC standard memory settings unless your CPU/motherboard combo has been explicitly validated for EXPO.
  3. Avoid Overclocking: Both manual CPU and memory overclocking carry significant risk for X3D chips.
  4. Install Carefully: Ensure proper CPU seating, cooler mounting, and thermal paste application to avoid uneven heating.
  5. Monitor Voltages: Use reliable software to continuously watch core and SoC voltages, keeping them below 1.3V.
  6. Immediate Action Upon Symptoms: If a system exhibits unexplained shutdowns, freezes, or POST failures, power down immediately to prevent further damage.

Make sure you've updated GameBar. Seems to be working for the majority (on that board also)

I have exactly the same thing with the same setup.
