SKOONJar,
When the 680 Lightning's first came out, the first 5000 cards had a LN2 bios with unlocked voltage control, typically allowing for higher overclocking if you use msi AfterBurner ver. 2.2.3, then Nvidia put the lock down on all manufacturers cards about over volting. When your card arrives and you install it check the bios versions, there are 2 bios on that card with a switch to change between the 2. Do not change the switch position with power on. Post back or PM me with the bios version and I can let you know if you have unlocked and how to overclock it. keep in mind every card is different, some overclock well some don't. The 680 is a powerful card and my recommendation to anyone is to overclock to run benchmarks to test your system and run it at default for normal use, as the small gains during gaming when overclocking are far out weighed by possible instability, you also need to run a fan profile to keep the card cool while overclocking that can become very annoying under normal use.
Either way you got a very good deal for that card. Driver version 314.07 works very good with the 680 in my experience.
