I'm thinking about using 1 H60 on my CPU and the other H60 on my GPU (with the help of zipties) Any one else done this or thinking about it too?

H60 refurb is $50 right now. hmmmm...

A GPU produces way more heat than a CPU so I suspect that a small radiator will be saturated rather quickly.

True, but this is about the same thing.

So I've seen quite a few posts where they use H50/60's on there GPU for half the cost.

I was thinking about getting one of those or the one with air cooling until I saw some some of the reviews.

Compared to the product you have linked to it is a no brainer to get the $60 option v the $110 option. But I stand by what I said earlier, I do not think that there will be gains that justify spending any additional money.

True, I don't think I'll be wasting money on slightly lower temps. It would only help my CPU some over the CM Hyper 212+ but would be quieter. As for the GPU it would drop 20-30c give or take, but when my max temp on a few hours of BF3 is only 70c~ then not that much worth it.

Side note, maybe I'll just stick to building that cheap $150 PC for my wife/son to use. 🙂

Thanks guys/gals for the great input as always.

The thing is is would be fun to do, and that would make it worthwhile to me. 😄

It should work, if the ARES II has 2 pumps and 1 small rad you should be perfectly fine doing it, I would try and make a bracket for it though as I wouldn't trust zip-ties.
