X Button fires automatically in game

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue playing with my Rog Ally X. The "X" game controller button seems to fire automatically, I'm absolutely sure i don't press it.

The issue seems to occur not so frequently, only in game and I never experienced it while using armory crate or other windows app that supports the game controller buttons.

Is it a known issue ? Should I contact a repair center ?

Could you please enable the log recording function in Armoury Crate SE, record the button issue, and note the time when the button anomaly occurs. Kindly provide the following information along with the video and log files via private message for further verification. Thank you.

Armoury Crate SE > Settings > General > About > Service Version > Check Button (Copy all content):

In Armoury Crate SE, navigate to "Settings" > "General" and check the "About" page. Click on "App Diagnostics tool" and select "Log Files" to bring up the Privacy Policy statement. Once you agree to the statement, Armoury Crate will start collecting diagnostic logs. You can click on "Generate Log Data" to create an encrypted log file (ASUS log file)

No problem about the logs but how can I record a random event ? It happens about 2-3 times per day and I cannot foresee it.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to confirm whether the issue occurs only in specific games or in all games? Since we haven't received similar feedback so far, please tried removing ASUS System Control Interface v3, uninstalling Armoury Crate SE using the uninstall tool, and then reinstalling ASUS System Control Interface v3 version V3.1.34 and Armoury Crate SE to see if there is any improvement? Thank you.

Yes it happens with every game, and it seems the camera moves as if I use the right analog before the X fires, but obviously I don't touch anything.

I tried uninstalling ASUS System Control Interface v3, Armoury Crate SE using the uninstall tool, but after reinstalling the issue happens anyway. Unfortunately it is a very rare, probably every 2-3 hours, so doing a video is very tricky.

Hello,

i figured out the real issue, it's not with the X button, but with the touchscreen that sometimes makes "ghost touch" causing a game view movement and/or a tap (like a left mouse button). A touchscreen enable/disable button in the command center would help a lot avoiding any touchscreen interaction for those games that only require the integrated gamepad.

I hope for  an Armoury Crate update that brings this important and useful feature in the next future.
