Update :
Hello,
So I was here before saying that I have a vibration issue with my Ally X.
I noticed this happened 4-5 times in a day at the beginning and every time I had to completely shut down the device. Before the firmware that was supposed to fix this, It stopped happening for some reason for me and it stopped happening after as well, until today.
I was chilling in BG3 and all of the sudden I heard a bee again on my Ally X, the moment I heard it once I knew that on every small vibration, the motors will vibrate bad like hitting metal.
After the update firmware, I heard some people that continued to have this issue and I did not, until now.
Here is the audio : Audio
This is obviously a firmware issue. Please fix it because this device is expensive.
Also I think this is not the same as the non stopping vibration some had before in some games.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi all
We plan to release MCU FW 313 this weekend.
You can update and use it then.
Thank you.

Hi @ROG0111 ,
Thank you for bringing up this issue. I would like to confirm if the vibration problem only occurs in games. Based on the audio file you provided, it seems different from the previously reported issue.
If possible, please enable the log recording function in Armoury Crate SE, record a video of the vibration issue, and note the time when the vibration anomaly occurs. Kindly provide the following information along with the video and log files via private message for further verification. Thank you.
【This is the file path for the log file, provided for your reference.】
In Armoury Crate SE, navigate to "Settings" > "General" and check the "About" page. Click on "App Diagnostics tool" and select "Log Files" to bring up the Privacy Policy statement. Once you agree to the statement, Armoury Crate will start collecting diagnostic logs. You can click on "Generate Log Data" to create an encrypted log file (ASUS log file)

I sent you a PM with the details, thanks again for looking into the issue.
Clearly this is an actual issue on regular Ally and the X and the firmware fix was for the duration and not for the frequency/oscillation/something and the reddit is full of them.

Edit : This is the second time it happened today (did not use the device a lot today), clearly a software update broke the vibrations motors because I had it for 2.5 weeks with zero issues. I don't think it is the latest bios that ends with 5, maybe the update that was in Amory Crate yesterday if I am not mistaken.
Still this is an issue at the firmware level because the software/drivers should not make it go wild like that anyways.
Edit 2: Of course, hibernate instead of shutting down the device is another option that temporarily works.

I'm having the same issue. I just downloaded halo complete edition of game pass. I've had my Rog x for less than a week. I noticed the vibration motors are really loud so I went into armoury crate and turned them off completely but this had no effect the vibration motors still activate in the handheld even with them switched of in armoury crate. I thought I might be just in halo. So I tried spiderman remastered in steam and it's really bad. Is something broken?

I'm also getting this issue, mainly in the left hand motor. Ive checked inside for any obvious culprits but can't see anything.
Resorted to just entirely disconnecting them from the bored until I hear of a fix.

Hi @Anbby_ROG
I’ve discovered a way to consistently replicate a loud vibration issue with my device. Here’s the process I follow:
Some of these steps might not be necessary, I will take a look at a more precise step by step, but the Parsec host does indeed have a gamepad settings, so there must be the conflict.
I’ve successfully replicated this issue three times, each time taking about 5 minutes of repeating the steps until the vibration sounds bad. However, once the Parsec process is stopped, I can no longer replicate the vibration issue.
I suspect that the vibration motors might be receiving new data from the Parsec driver, or any other app that uses parsecd?, which persists until the device is powered off. I initially dismissed Parsec as the cause because the issue persisted after a restart, but I needed to shut down the device in order to clear the wrong data from the vibration motors, not just restarting it. But now I believe it might be related to Parsec or any app using Parsec’s driver. Later,
I think the Parsec driver is sending incorrect data to the vibration motors, causing them to operate incorrectly. The range from 0-3% gives no vibration, from 4%-100% gives loud bad vibration and sometimes the rumble motor might even fail completely until fully shutdown.
Please make a new firmware that adds some checks to the vibration motors. I know now I can use the device without having to worry about bad vibrations. Obviously every single day I had this bad vibration I also used parsec, and every single day I did not have this bad vibration I never used parsec.

Another step I forgot might include switching from Gamepad mode to Desktop mode to throw it off.

I will give more clear steps when I have some free time maybe end of next week. Parsec connected at first and ending with switching control mode seems to be the issue. There are some intermediary steps.
It also explain why when i was copying games or downloading games while in parsec (it is like teamviewer) remotely but far more efficient since I don't use a dock for my Ally X, the loud vibration was not there initially, but when I started the game at the first vibration it appeared, that must have been because of the control mode switching when starting game with AC.
During this time I will just not use parsec.
