SD Card reader stopped working

Hello,

I, like many others here, have an Ally where the SD card reader no longer recognizes any SD card. If using a card reader I can get it to acknowledge the card is not fried, so only the reader itself doesn't seem to be working. Customer chat sent me to Best Buy's Geek Squad (I bought it at Best Buy) and then Best Buy said they can't do repairs through the manufacturer warranty and sent me back over this way. Not sure what to do now to get it fixed.
