Sd Card reader randomly stopped working

I purchased the Ally Z71 Extreme from Best Buy about 2-3 weeks ago. Worked okay no issues. Today I turned the device on and noticed that the SD card wasn’t showing up. I turned the device off then on and no luck. Removed the sd card and placed it back in. Went into the BIOs files and checked the advanced settings for the Sd. It was unlocked so that means the card ready should technically be working. It’s been an hour of tinkering and still not anything. Is there a fix for this issue? I mean seriously I just got the device. I’m disappointed lol.
