ROG Ally X with AV Reciever

Maxentorna
Level 7

I am simply out of ideas on this one. No matter what dock or cable I use, I simply am not able to get a stable output from the Ally to the AVR.

It basically stutters all the time. The AVR sees a connection, then it's gone. Basic Stereo PCM is the most stable, but any 5.1 that you set, be it Dolby or DTS is just bad.

I have trouble shooted this until the cows come home, and nothing works. Various cables all 2.1 rated, 4 docks including the Jsux 12 to 1, 2 different brands of AVR as well as connecting directly into the TV and using its own bitstream pass though to the amp.

Anyone managed to find a magic combo to get this to work or is the Ally simply not geared up for external surround sound?
