ROG Ally X no buttons work

DeusImp3riuM0

Hi, I purchased 2 ROG Ally X's for me and my wife two days ago and that arrived today. One is working with no issues and the other has issues, both joysticks, d-pad, 4 side buttons (command center, armoury crate, view) and no RGB is working. Only the touch screen, power button and volume buttons function.

I've tried soft and hard restarting the console. Updating armoury crate, all windows updates. I've also tried running armoury uninstall tool, Asus system interface and reinstalling both. I've also tried a cloud recovery, but nothing has made a difference. Is there anything else I can try?

Hi @DeusImp3riuM0 ,

Since you mentioned that the key issue still exists after trying a cloud recovery and the device was recently purchased, to ensure your rights, we recommend that you contact the dealer for further assistance. Thank you.

Same thing happened to mine. I've had it for about 3 months and all buttons stopped mid game. Did a complete reset and the same issue is present. Searched all over the internet and could not find any similar problems like this.

Hi @Sweepr ,
Since you mentioned that the issue occurred after three months of use, I would like to confirm whether you are using the ALLY X or the ALLY?

Please tried uninstalling ASUS System Control Interface v3, using the uninstall tool to remove Armoury Crate SE, then reinstalling ASUS System Control Interface v3 version V3.1.32 and Armoury Crate SE  to see if there is any improvement?

If the problem persists, please provide the following information via private message to further investigate the issue. Please copy the following paths into the address bar and press enter to access:

C:\ProgramData\ASUS\ROGMCUFWUpdateToolLog

Find the log folder and compress it to send to us. Thank you for your cooperation.
