ROG Ally X - Constant Vibration Issue that won't stop

ROG0887

I just got my ROG Ally X. I'm having an issue where the rumble motor would do a long constant rumble when for example shooting a weapon. This only stops when I pause the game or for do an action that would have a different rumble strength. It seems like this only happens for strong rumble actions (shooting weapons, explosion etc.)This happened to me in Overwatch 2, Destiny 2 and Modern warfare 3.

BTW I already tried to restart the device and then after I did a cloud recovery and still having this issue.

Indeed, the same thing happens to me. Constant vibration and another bug that I have noticed is that when it is plugged into the power and you minimize the game several times, the 30 watts go to 40 and I turn and it goes to 96 degrees and it goes in pieces completely, please gentlemen, we have spent 900 euros.

I had this strange rattling noise motor (delayed) no matter what I did when using the left or the right like 2 pieces of metal are hitting each other. That is clearly not normal, I was worried that it was a hardware issue and I had to go through replacement but a restart fixed the issue for now. Both motors are sounding how they should after a restart so this is a firmware issue ?

I would deactivate vibrations until a proper firmware is released to not damage them if that happens

I have the same problem. If I just shoot one bullet, vibration go crazy and continuous.

Everything is almost unplayable for me.

900 euro for this? Embarrassing.

It seems to be any shooting games that I get on halo infinite and plants v zombies is really bad. On F1 24 it seems to work fine which vibrates hitting curbs as it should so strange.

Best for now is turn off vibration in the games its causing an issue ir go into Armor crate settings then configure and turn vibration too zero on both motors.

That's what I did for now, all I can do now is wait for an update.

I believe that it is a firmware issue since it seems to resolve for a short time after hard resetting. The game doesn’t seem to matter as it seems to be any games that have a vibration feature in them. It seems like the firmware responsible for the way the ally reading rumble input from games goes haywire. I notice that when it does happen (and this seems to be identical with other with a few users on Reddit) that when the issue occurs the right motor seems to have the most issue. I tested in the AC settings in the vibration strength slider, the right motor was barely vibrating at any of the levels yet in a game it sounded as if it was loudly grinding in a concerning water. Restarting does resolve the issue but it does reoccur consistently.
