Hello,
recently my ROG Ally has been turning itself on at random times. I leave it sitting in its stand and plugged in and I’ve had it for about 6 months and I’m only just now having this issue. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hi @oc ,
Could you please try performing a shut down test by going to Windows > Power > Shut down and see if the issue still occurs?
Additionally, are you connected to any external keyboard or mouse? Thank you.

Hi @oc ,
Could you please describe your usage scenarios and any troubleshooting steps you have taken to help us further clarify the issue?
For example: Under what circumstances does it automatically power on (shutdown, sleep)? Are there any connected external devices (SD card, Dock/Hub)?
What is the current BIOS and display driver version you are using? If possible, please provide a video to help us further investigate this issue. Thank you.

Here are some answers I can provide at the moment:
-The Ally powers itself on daily seemingly at random times but always after 6pm (not sure why but I’ve never seen it do so before this time)
-Ally is turned completely off (I hold down the power button until the screen goes black and the fans no longer sound like they’re running, The only light emitting anything is the power light at this point)
-I leave the Ally plugged into power that is coming from the official USB dock
As far as the BIOS and display driver versions go I will need to get back to you once I check.

I actually have no idea how to tell what BIOS or display driver I have. Generally I update the device as soon as I’m able though, so I would assume the latest available.

Hello, sorry I didn’t reply for so long. This seemed to fix the problem. For reference I did not have a keyboard or mouse plugged in.
