ROG Ally doesnt recognize SD Card

Cliche_Kid

I know, I’m another one 😛

i had relatively no issues with my 512GB SDXC UHS-I card until a month or 2 ago (performance was tanking on the desktop & couldn’t do anything. Taking out the card resolved the issue). I put it back in hoping the issue resolved with the various updates, but now my ROG Ally doesn’t even recognize an SD card is inserted, not even in the device manager.

the card still works fine on my other laptop. I’ve reinstalled drivers several times to no avail. I’m always on top of BIOs updates. I just finished doing a reset to factory settings and it’s still not working. Any insight would be appreciated as while I know the sd card reader has widespread issues, I feel like my effort to reinstall drivers is what did me in.
