I have an issue with my Ally X and I'm curious if anyone else has the same problem.
I'm playing Baldur's Gate 3 via Steam and it works fine initially, but after a while the game randomly activates the b-button. It happens when I'm using the right joystick.
I have tried other Steam games, Control and Cyberpunk, and have the same issue. I can replicate the problem by using the right stick extensivsly.
However, when playing Control via the Xbox app, the problem seems to be gone.
I have tried to deactivate the Steam input, and activate it. I have tried to launch BG3 without Steam. I have reseted the X and cloud restored it via bios.
I'm not certain that it is a software bug, or faulty hardware.
The problem doesn't exist on my white Rog Ally Extreme (I'm about to sell it, but won't until I know my Ally X is ok).
But before I'm sending in my X to Asus, I'm curious if anyone else has this problem or have a solution.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Simpan,
I'd like to confirm if this issue occurs with games other than those on Steam.
Please enable the log recording feature in Armoury Crate SE, record a video of the issue, and provide the following information via private message for further investigation. Thank you.
【This is the file path for the log file, provided for your reference.】
In Armory Crate SE, navigate to" Settings">"General" and check the "About" page. Click on "App Diagnostics tool" and select "Log Files" to bring up the Privacy Policy statement. Once the user agrees to the statement, Armory Crate will start collecting diagnostic logs. You can click on "Generate Log Data" to create an encrypted log file (ASUS log file).

Thank you. I appreciate that you took the time to answer me. However, I have found the problem and I can say that I'm a complete and utter idiot.
While trying to record this particular "bug" to send to you, I noticed that I some times touch the right thumb on my screen when pressing the right joystick to the left, and it registers as a mouse click. I noticed it in the Witcher 3 when I got a visual feedback every time I touched the screen (I didn't feel anything when the thumb touched the screen). However, I can't replicate it when focusing not to touch the screen.
When I search for this particular problem, I see that I'm not the only one with a "fat thumb". Those search results didn't show up when I searched for "button presses randomly when using right joystick".
I didn't, however, have this problem on my white Ally and the reason for that is probably that the right joystick is farther from the screen on that device.
Either way, I'm so embarrassed right now and I apologize that I took up your time with this. But as a feature request, I would like to add an option to turn off and on the touch functionality on the screen via the command center. Just for idiots like me 🙂
