Official ROG dock and 2nd monitor

Treehugginsanta

I cannot for the life of me get a HDMI out display on any screen. Be that TV or monitor.

I’ve tested multiple cables, some as high as 100w base/cord. All different HDMI cables. All devices.

Why is this so rough for a 60$ dock?? This is the first time I am attempting this, had I know this wasn’t going to work I wouldn’t of bought the official dock.

anyone figure out this issue?

Hi @Treehugginsanta ,

I'm sorry to hear about your user experience. May I confirm if the official ROG Dock was recently purchased and has been consistently unable to output to a display via HDMI?
When connecting a display through HDMI, does Ally show any detection of other screens? Please try configuring the second screen as either duplicate or extend through display settings to see if it can be displayed properly.
If Ally is unable to detect other screens, try connecting the screen directly through the Ally USB-C to test if it displays correctly. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to let us know. Thank you.

To speed up issue identification, please provide the product model, BIOS, and driver versions, along with the troubleshooting steps you've already tried to avoid redundant checks.

Hi @Treehugginsanta

Could you ensure AMD RSR is disabled from Command Centre and retry? I experienced this issue recently and this was the culprit.
