Keyboard lag on the ROG Ally X

Anybody else having an issue with their keyboard lagging? I did some research and found an old video on youtube where somebody disabled the Armoury Crate SE service in the services app, so I tried it out myself. Completely fixed the issue. All my drivers are up to date, my Armoury Crate is on the current version (1.5.11.0), and all my software and my BIOS has been updated via windows update, my asus, and armoury crate. I've tested multiple keyboards both wired directly to the ROG ALLY X and using a dongle through my OneXGPU. Customer support said that this used to be a known issue with the original ROG ALLY, but I'm the first to report it happening with the ALLY X. If anybody else is experiencing this, please speak up!

Please tried uninstalling Armoury Crate SE using the uninstall tool, and then reinstalling ASUS System Control Interface v3 version V3.1.36 and Armoury Crate SE to see if there is any improvement?

If the problem still persists, could you please enable the log recording function in Armoury Crate SE and try to capture a video of the issue using external devices? Additionally, could you provide us with the following information via private message for further verification? Thank you.

  • Serial Number:
  • BIOS Version:
  • Windows Build Version: (Settings - System - About)
  • Display Driver Version:
  • Name of the game where the issue occurs:
  • Are there any other external devices connected?
  • Brand and model of the external keyboard:
  • Armoury Crate SE > Settings > General > About > Service Version > Check Button (Copy all content):

【This is the file path for the log file, provided for your reference.】
In Armory Crate SE, navigate to" Settings">"General" and check the "About" page. Click on "App Diagnostics tool" and select "Log Files" to bring up the Privacy Policy statement. Once the user agrees to the statement, Armory Crate will start collecting diagnostic logs. You can click on "Generate Log Data" to create an encrypted log file (ASUS log file).

I ran the uninstaller, but it did not remove the ASUS System Control Interface.

I have reinstalled Armoury Crate, but it did not fix the issue. This does not only effect games, I have stopped the Armoury Crate SE service from running right now because it was making it frustrating to type this out. I have already provided all of the information you asked for to customer service, I will send you the case number in a DM so you can review all that I have sent.
