With the lastest drivers 25.5.1 AMD disable sideload driver install for 780m and the features for eGPU management, now the problem is also for those of us who use the Rog Ally X with an AMD EGPU for example, I have the RX9070 and I can't use it because the latest drivers don't recognize the 780m IGPU. The oficial driver can support eGPU?

I have a thread thats very similar that I opened recently:
https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/rog-ally/why-can-we-no-longer-sideload-the-latest-amd-drivers/m-p/1095...
Hopefully one of us get some sort of response soon.

From the response I got from AMD we have no hope, they specifically stated that handhelds shouldn't work with those drivers, it even states the following on ALL amd drivers:
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition does not include support for handheld gaming devices. Users should check with the OEM for device specific drivers.
However, it did work flawlessly for over a year and a half, why remove it now?

Please try completely uninstalling the AMD software cleanly using DDU and test if there is any improvement.
If the issue persists, could you please provide relevant error screenshots for us to further investigate? Thank you.

Hi yes it persists I think its the way Asus are idenitifying the Z1 extreme, it used to work with 780m graphics drivers: Ryzen 7 7840U these ones. but now it gives you a 43 error when installing, Windows believes this error is: "A Device Manager code 43 error, displayed as "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems," indicates that a driver or the device itself has signalled to the operating system that it's experiencing an issue. This error can be caused by driver problems, hardware malfunctions, or software conflicts. "
So it seems AMD has done something that stopped it working, although its allowed us to install it since launch, when I reached out to AMD they said:

Subject: AMD Case#{00632752} : Can no longer install driver on ROG ALLY
Dear Michael,
Your service request: 00632752 has been reviewed and updated.
Response and Service Request History:
I understand you are unable to install the drivers on your Asus ROG Ally handheld device.
Kindly note that driver support for handheld devices is provided by the handheld device manufacturer itself.
Please get in touch with your handheld device manufacturer for assistance on this.

Personally I believe Asus need to contact them to re-enable it, or inform they its a fault as there's no reason why we should be able to get this working. Peoples eGPU's arent working due to this failing also, it really needs fixing.
Ps, will we get a new driver soon to allow doom to run as best it can
