FIRMWARE update failing V319

I  see that this problem has occurred before but , my ROG ALLY is on Firmware V319 and has been working fine.  now i get a prompt to update firmware that repeatedly fails and the keybindings to the gamepad no longer work (including Control Center and ACSE buttons)  i.e. games are unplayable.  Any help appreciated, as its basically turned my ROG into a brick.

Please tried removing ASUS System Control Interface v3, uninstalling Armoury Crate SE using the uninstall tool, and then reinstalling ASUS System Control Interface v3 version V3.1.43 and Armoury Crate SE to see if there is any improvement?Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion.  reinstalled those 2 items but they already seemed to be up to date.

I also can't login to MyAsus account (but i doubt this is related?!)
