Asus Rog ally won’t turn on

once again I am experiencing this issue! I left my handheld on the window sill for around 20 minutes whilst I did something (has full charge) came back and now it won’t turn on! Tried connecting to the charger and it won’t light up or charge. This happened to me last month and I had to send it away to be repaired but now it’s happening again! This seriously seems to be a flaw in the design as I shouldn’t be experiencing this, I have tried holding the power button down for 30 seconds but nothing happens! Anyone else having this many issues?!?!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Could you please test with a different charger to see if the power indicator light turns on?

Additionally, I'd like to confirm that when you mentioned holding the power button for 30 seconds, did you first remove the power supply and all external devices, then hold the power button for 30 seconds, reconnect the power supply, and check if the power indicator light turns on? Thank you.

Hi I have a similar issue with my Ally Rog X I was upgrading my SSD followed the instructions on asus on how to disassemble and install SSD for the handheld PC, and then when I put back everything to place. Now the power indicator doesn't light up and device doesnt turn on. I followed the above mentioned suggestion however it would still not turn on. i just bought the device this month and its not yet more than 2 weeks old.

Since this thread primarily discusses issues related to the Ally, you mentioned that after attempting to upgrade the SSD yourself, the device could no longer power on. Could you confirm if the device was functioning properly before replacing the SSD?

We recommend you double-check that the SSD is correctly installed and ensure that all cables are securely connected. If the device still won't start, we suggest you take it to a service center for further inspection to determine the issue. Thank you!

Hi @Anbby_ROG yes it was previously working and this wasnt the first time Ive removed the SSD and put it back in; its just this time the power is not coming up usually when I remove the SSD and place a new SSD it would not turn on unless you connect it to a power source however this even with the power source/ charger connect it wont turn on. I tried removing and reconnecting the battery still same results.

Thank you for your reply. Please remove all external devices and the power supply while the device is off, then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. After that, reconnect the power supply and try to turn it on to see if it starts normally. If the issue persists, we recommend taking it to a service center for further inspection to determine the problem. Thank you!
