Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing this strange issue and I want to ask for more info here.
I recently bought an Asus ROG Ally but for some reason when I plug in the power adapter and the console is powered on often it is unable to charge. Battery continues to decrease and only if I turn off the console I can see the charging led being turned on. Is this a problem related to high temperatures maybe? I also installed and updated BIOS but the problem was present before already.
I tried to reset AC by pushing the start button for about 40 seconds but nothing helped.
Thanks eventually for helping me out.
EDIT:
The issue happens when I Iaunch a game or more complex tasks. Also, myAsus application underlines some problems with power adaptor and fans:

Hi @fxPlus ,
I would like to confirm whether you are using the original adapter or if you have tested with another adapter? Based on your description and the MyASUS diagnostic results, we recommend that you try resetting the system via Cloud Recovery to see if the issue improves. If the problem persists, we suggest that you send the ALLY and the original adapter to your local service center for further hardware diagnostics to identify the issue. Thank you.

Hello,
Yes, the charger comes from the original ASUS rog ally kit. As posted in the original post, the issue could be a fan which is not working (0 RPM every time checked from armory create). As a result the power adaptor refuses to charge the console due to high temperatures. But I’m not sure, this is only my assumption.
anyway I’m trying to contact the reseller to get a new console
