I've got this weird issue with my new Ally X.
I noticed that after some amount of time of not touching the gamepad, around 30 seconds or so, the gamepad doesn't respond to first press of any button, as if it went to sleep and that first button press wakes it up or something.
It works normally afterward, but It's very annoying.

Just wanted to share mine is behaving the same way. The solution is to press the button a little bit harder, if you casually pressed it lightly/normally it'll not respond. Of course, this shouldn't be the way.
There are more complains and report over at Reddit, so ASUS it's not only us 3 in this forum that is having this specific issue.

Hi @Colorblindmonk @TheDaddis @defunct32 ,
Thank you for your feedback on this issue.
We take this matter seriously and would like to gather more information about your usage scenarios and device details for further analysis and confirmation.
Have you updated BIOS to the latest version 314, and tried removing ASUS System Control Interface v3, uninstalling Armoury Crate SE using the uninstall tool, and then reinstalling ASUS System Control Interface v3 version V3.1.32 and Armoury Crate SE to see if there is any improvement?
If the issue persists, please enable the log recording function in Armoury Crate SE, and record a video showing the key issue. Please provide the following information, along with the video and log files, through a private message for further confirmation. Thank you.
【This is the file path for the log file, provided for your reference.】
In Armory Crate SE, navigate to" Settings">"General" and check the "About" page. Click on "App Diagnostics tool" and select "Log Files" to bring up the Privacy Policy statement. Once the user agrees to the statement, Armory Crate will start collecting diagnostic logs. You can click on "Generate Log Data" to create an encrypted log file (ASUS log file).

@Anbby_ROG BIOS updated, Win 11 updated, MyASUS updated, did all the updates, download, etc.
Armory Crate was problematic at one point so I already done the uninstall and reinstall of AC and I am not going to go through that again.
This issue is easily replicable by just playing a game (downloaded from Steam for example) and leaving the Control Mode in Command Centre on Gamepad.
Leave it idle for minimum 30 secs or longer if you can.
Return to your game and try pressing any of the A, B, X, or Y button, preferably a button that can prompt something, say a RPG game, press a button that will bring up the main menu, the first press will be ignored, subsequent presses will then register.
Like @Colorblindmonk mentioned in their initial post it's as if the controls goes into "sleep mode" when left idled for 30 secs or more and the first press is to wake the system up! None of my other PC handhelds behave in such a way.

So far only template replies, I have shared a video from Reddit by another user to show what's going on, obviously this is not as widespread as the continuous vibration issue but this is just as annoying.
I have done everything to eliminate this issue fron BIOS Recovery to uninstalling AC and reinstalling AC, updating latest MCU Firmware, fixed were only temporary before it resurfaced again.
