I didn't play the 1st one but i do like rts games. is this game worth the 59.99? colonial marines wasn't that's for sure.

I have played every total war game they ever made and I plan on playing every total war game they ever make. I have already pre bought rome 2 through steam just waiting for the release date. The mix of turn based building and real time combat is just awesome, In Shogun 2 Total War the fights were sweet if you zoomed in its so realistic you can see people being decapitated and watch their heads fly off lol. Raining down flaming arrows on formations of enemy troops, Calvary charges into groups that throw the people aside as the horses plow through them and the turn based part of deciding how to maximize your province and in which way.

The total war series are some of the greatest rts games ever. History documentaries use these games for battle simulations, and historians can't complain about accuracy (much). Buy it, and tell everyone you know that you will be disappearing for a while.

not alot of info on actually how to play the game and the UI. 30 sec videos in the encyclopedia don't help much. after a few days i am getting the hang of it. seems its better to fight the battles that let AI decide. ive been abkle to pull a few upsets.

Its a revolt on the total war forums, can you guys post your spec and the fps ur getting with your rig?

Total War games seem to have a habit of being buggy on launch. The AI in the games has always been a bit off, but that hasn't stopped me having a huge amount of fun playing , It's a great game.
