Hi MyRyzenWorld,
Jeeeez,
Not only did you beat the other gaming laptops, you blew them away.
I do see the cpu temp hit 96c, might need a little more fan.
That's amazing and quite impressive.
Actually Fans set 100% already and CPU set to 75W limit APU in Crate....
Cant do much on the temps side, the laptop arrived out of the box pretty hot, I mean GPU was peaking hotspot at 102-103c, I actually repasted the thing myself, and ended up take it to professional laptop LAB nearby and paid them to repaste it with Gelid GC Extreme (both CPU and GPU), which allows now bring the max GPU hotspot down to somewhere across 96-98c zone. Per AMD support RX6800M by design can handle 110c without damaing/life short itself. I did see other G513QY owners that also hitting 102c GPU hotspot, but not everyone want go and repaste, as it can void warranty, in my case, since I live outside US and I bought this laptop Sept 24 in US, I anyways dont have warranty, so I could do stuff without losing warranty which I anyways dont have (US only warranty).
Now for CPU? Same story pretty much, out of the box from ASUS it was peaking around 95c so... and per AMD support Ryzen 5900HX can handle without damage itself 105c, so its fine.
But I agree 100% cooler always better, I wanna try and get this crazy IEST GT500 cooling pad, its a monster ! ! but probably gonna have buy it off Amazon, since no one selling it here in my country.
🙂
