PC Multiplayer Gaming

Hello ROGers, I don't know if this topic was discussed before or not but I would like your opinions on PC multiplayer gaming. It seems just about every multiplayer game I play I come across a hacker/cheater at some point. I have about 30 pc games and I have seen a hacker/cheater in every one of the multiplayer games I own. It really T's me off to see hackers/cheaters in any game. If you have to cheat to play a game, why even bother playing it? Do you think hackers/cheaters will eventually put an end to pc multiplayer gaming? Please post your thoughts on this. Here is an example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vH_v3oF4prw

as long as there are no admins on the server its not easy to get rid of them.
only way is to get on a server that there is active admins on.
and if possible record ( as now you can spectate and record in BF4 ).
the servers im on ( EU ) have active admins.

Hi kkn, Dedicated servers are nice and admins can control hackers to an extent, but what about the P2P multiplayer games like the later Call of Duty modern warfare games. There are no dedicated servers with admins. It just slams you onto a map with a bunch of other players and you play.

lost interest in COD and MW realy.
was playing some Cod:bo a few years back and i was whit friends and on servers i knew was close to non hack free on em.
but as usualy theres too menny jerks destroying the funn of the game.

Modern warfare is still one of the top MP for me, and Battlefield 4. i thought MW2 was dead, at least to legitimate gamers. Last time I was on there it was hacked to death, I don't know if activision have sorted the problem, they should have allowed dedicated servers at least for pc. i think the P2P cr@p killed modern warfare 2 for PC gamers and EA got a lot more on battlefield. without admins it lust becomes an aimbot fest on most online games, long live the dedicated servers and the their heroic bunch of ban hammer wielding admins trying to ensure a fair fight.

Well put Welshy46 ! I agree 100% with you, All pc multiplayer games need to have dedicated servers. I think the game makers should somehow incorporate a tool or software that boots a player for using cheats automatically. If the cheaters/hackers want to play, set them up a special server so they can play against each other, then they wouldn't be ruining the gaming experience for everyone else.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but

hacking is bad, it shouldn't be allowed, it ruins the game/economy. As a real player though you should always learn to deal with it.

Nate. It sounds like you have never even heard of Team Fortress 2. That place is locked up tighter than a swiss bank. VAC security is amazing, and Valve has the equivalent of trained FBI sharpshooters banning hackers left and right. You won't even be able to use the hack and you'll have been banned.

I agree valve really does have their security down to a science and they will ban the hacker from everything valve has steam, forum boards all of it. I used to have a l4d2 server just one report to valve & my log they are gone for good..
