K I use to have Oblivion for xbox the day it was released, but i sold xbox and now just running my pc and PS3.
So I couldn't find Oblivion at closest game store within 120kms which is over the boarder at walmart..so I bought it Off "STEAM" (which i dont like supporting D2D programs because I like having the physical copy of the game)
Anyways.... So I Downloaded it off steam and works like a charm on my Eyefinity setup. but I've seen realisim mods for crysis and oblivion GTAIV etc. Now my Real Question that I'm getting to is:

Where It's a Downloaded version can I Still use the texture MODS etc. and is it worth it? some list where you download other progrms to use these files to copy into folders and junk. But I just want to get the most out of my oblivion mostly just in Graphics like the water and hi-res Textures.

Does anyone else, use-to or still does, own oblivion and knows the best way to just bump up the graphics. and why doesn't bethesda release updates like these to improve game quality which i would think bring in more consumers (even though it's an old game)

Thanks 🙂 I don't know if anyone does have the answer to this but I thought I'd throw it out there If not I'll just play it as it is.
Thanks again! 🙂

If you are enjoying the graphics of oblivion oh boy are you going to like Skyrm

Go have a visit to the Oblivion forums and find out about steam based games and using the mods. I think you can but I have not done so myself. So can not confirm as working.

Cheers

Should not be a problem to use mods on a Steam game as long as you aren't replacing any of the downloaded resources. Steam will keep all of the game files updated but the mods are just additional things you add. Steam shouldn't care about those files since it didn't create them so it should not modify or delete them.
