Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on Intel HD Graphics 4600!

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - Intel HD Graphics 4600:

This game works quite well on lightweight hardware. Here it is running on a small form factor (SFF) HTPC mITX system without a video card. The CPU is doing all of the work here. This system runs on only a 150W PicoPSU. As you can tell by the video, things are definitely moving right along.

Doggone fun game to play, too. Just don't take it too seriously.

Imagine how it would run on a Kaveri A10-7850k if it runs this well with intel HD 4600 graphics.

Yeah, there's a whole slew of games that Intel HD Graphics will run. It does alright with fake HD (720p), but, not so well with true HD (1080p)...YET.

I would like to see how Intel's Iris Pro CPUs run games. For some stupid reason, Intel only makes the Iris Pro chips for OEM builds and not for system builders like myself. Stupid move Intel. Real stupid, watch AMD take over this segment because of that. Intel. Stupid.

I await the Broadwell processors which reportedly will have the next-generation of Iris Pro available to everyone, including system builds. Thank God for Broadwell.

Rumor has it that Broadwell is only coming to laptops and not desktops. Word has it that Intel will only update their CPU's every 2 years now, with refreshes every other year, guess we'll have to wait for Computex in June for proper announcement, or Intel's own shindig

Intel is starting to relax, thinking that AMD is totally out of the game...wait for Mantle to show up in a few months, and then excavator...better than killing a sniper wearing a razorback. And as far as actually big game-changing CPU architectures go, Intel only has those every two years anyways. Haswell/IB-E, and even Broadwell/H-E are just about die shrinks and lowering power consumption, and rumors of DDR4. Skylake/B-E is rumored to have PCIe 4.0. AMD is shooting their performance up. Look at piledriver vs bulldozer, and steamroller vs richland, and you'll see humongous leaps in performance. With intel all you get is a silicon lottery and lowered power consumption.

Intel 4th Gen Haswell i7s - it looks like you can buy the 4770R for just shy of 400USD.
