How the ROG Swift PG27AQDM improved my gameplay

I've been playing Destiny 2 since its release in 2017, this game has got me hooked and is what I mostly play. I've logged over 11,000 hours of play time, most of that was with the HP Zr30w monitor. You can get power bonuses to make your character stronger by continually grinding bounties for XP points, I spent many hours doing this.

HP Zr30w quick specs:

Size: 30 Inch
Resolution: 2560x1600
Refresh rate: 60Hz
Panels type: S-IPS LCD
Response time: 7ms

With the HP Zr30w, I had to play at 60FPS with V-sync on, otherwise I'd get screen tear going over the monitors refresh rate. With V-sync on gameplay is good, but there is noticeable motion blur and latency. Over long gaming sessions, motion blur can cause eye strain and headaches. I never got headaches, but I have experienced eye strain with watery eyes.

PG27AQDM quick specs:

Size: 27 Inch
Resolution - 2560x1440
Refresh Rate - 240Hz
Panel Type - OLED
Response time: 0.03ms
G-Sync Compatible
HDR

Since January of 2024, I've been using the ROG Swift PG27AQDM and what a big difference it's made.

The first thing I noticed is how much smoother and responsive gameplay is with no motion blur or noticeable latency. Because of this, I feel a little faster and more accurate. I always considered myself a decent player, but now when doing strikes with a random fireteam, I'll usually get the most kills.

I can't say what stopped my eyes from watering, but my eyes feel more comfortable with the PG27AQDM, especially with long gaming sessions. I can keep playing without having to take a break.

The ROG Swift PG27AQDM is a huge upgrade in every way.

Performance - There are a few features that give the PG27AQDM excellent performance. The low latency OLED technology, the G-Sync Comaptible technology and the 240Hz refresh rate. I'm also using the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile keyboard and the ROG Keris II Ace mouse which supports the ROG Speednova wireless technology, this is also helping to keep that excellent performance. With Nvidia Reflex set to On+Boost, Render Latency is on overage 5-7ms.

Visuals - OLED is probably as good as it gets with its better contrasts and deeper blacks. While the PG27AQDM is calibrated right out of the box, ASUS gives you a ton of options to help dial in that perfect picture.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a visual enhancement that adds a wider range of color and brightness in supported games. While HDR doesn't improve on performance or gameplay, it improves on visual quality, which makes your games that much more fun to play. Destiny 2 supports HDR, turning it on for the first time is like playing whole a new game.

The ROG Swift PG27AQDM gives me more incentive to play, last season I was able to tie for first place for the highest power level.

The ROG Swift PG27AQDM is a gaming beast, delivering top-tier performance for enthusiasts. I recently tested it with one of my favourite game that I have been playing these days Nulls Brawl, and even high-requirement games ran flawlessly. If you're after an immersive gaming experience, don't forget to check out the Null’s Brawl APK Son Sürüm for some extra fun!
