GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5 -Random crashing almost all games.

Hi..

Iam having serious issues with my card. And i think it might be software related.

I can run Diablo III @ max settings, with no problems.

But COD: Ghosts, BF3/BF4/Crysis3/Assasins Creed 4 are all giving me either DirectX Hung error or the game just crashes.

If i start the games again i can play maybe 10 minutes then it crashes the entire computer. sometimes i get BAD_POOL_HEADER error.

My rig info:

Hi BoneCrusher 🙂

My first suggestion would be to try a fresh install of the OS if that's easy enough to do for you....My first guess would have been to downclock the card and see but you have tried that.

Failing fresh install remove the drivers using DriverFusion (or something similar) in safe mode and reinstall?

Is your RAM rock solid....maybe test with Memtest86+....no problem with any previous GPU? just this new one?

Maybe neaten up the system specs there...it doesn't make great reading:o

Uninstall all the bloatware that comes with your nvidia drivers, thats probably the source of all your problems

Hmm I'll tell you now I have had nothing but grief from GPU Tweak and for troubleshooting I would recommend you uninstall it and AI suite if youy have it and corsair link etc.

Use afterburner or precision X and GPUz to verify what settings you have. Simplu lower core clock and check in GPUz.....lower to standard value for the refference model of the card...removing the factory OC...if the card runs stable you know the factory OC is not all it should be.
