Gaming headset.

Hi guys i have some question about headset ( i don't know nothing about it) what's the difference between Virtual 5.1/7.1 and real 5.1/7.1 ???

I'm interested whit two gaming headset : asus rog orion pro and asus strix who is the best ??
If you know another good gaming headset please tell to me ^^

i have the roccat kave and it is a 5.1 headset whit minijacks and an "amp" on it.
and im happy whit it.
it have a microphone on it.
the problem is that you will feel "sore" the first times you going to use it until you get used to it.
in game i can hear footsteps whit ppl witch have 2.0 dont hear ( thinking of direction here )

Edit: Actually I have to get a pair of headphones too...have outstanding commitments for gaming...Borderlands with the Viz and BF? with some other shady characters...so will watch this thread for suggestions...

all in all it comes down to how mutch one want to pay for it.
if its USB or mini-jacks.

There are Headphones and there are Headphones, Depends too, if you want them in your Ear, on your Ear, or around your Ear.
I used to think cheap, so was always disappointed, till I got my current set and WOW, suddenly, I here sounds I swear I never heard before.(may have been drunk at the time?)
I got the Corsair Vengeance 2100 (7.1 surround) although a little heavy,they are comfortable, I quickly got used to them.;)
