Fps problem!

Hello guys!

I own a G750jm laptop and so far the laptop is good at gaming.

But when i do the alt-tab to switch screen. The game really lags! I mean when i resume the game it drops the fps from 60 to 5 and even you leave it for 5 mins still the same performance. My only way to go back 60 fps again is to close the game completely and run it again.

I wonder what is the problem why im having a fps drop from 60 to 5? In my old computer it doesn't happen even i do the alt tab thing and even its weak. While this beast has an issue i just wonder why?

anyone knows the answer?

Reinstall nVidia Driver, update NET framework. Also, do all games do this, or just some?

I haven't tried on other games 🙂 cause the only game that i have right now to my rig is STARCRAFT II

Anyway after a lot of speculations i came an idea on the alt-tab thing that the INTEL HD 4600 is getting used again even i use the NVIDIA driver set to GLOBAL. I mean when i start the game its full NVIDIA but if i alt-tab and resume then its not pure NVIDIA anymore. So i have a theory that the 2 videos chips is getting used and one of them getting short.

To be more detailed ...
Open the game NVIDIA handle it all but after alt-tab and resume i had a feeling that the texture settings just get by the INTEL HD 4600 while the graphics settings get by NVIDIA. Of course its only my theory but i have a strong feeling! cause i just feel it lol 🙂

So i did look for a way to set NVIDIA to be default display and disable the INTEL HD 4600 but no luck with that 😞
RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH AGAIN! And then i found a site suggesting increasing the TOTAL DEDICATED VIDEO MEMORY on INTEL HD4600.

So i did try it! it makes sense anyway 🙂 cause i have a theory that the other VC is getting short in memory. And then PRESTO! from 64mb DEDICATED VIDEO MEMORY to 512 makes my game no drop on fps on alt-tab.

So at the end i fix it 🙂 and STARCRAFT II runs on ULTRA Texture and EXTREME Graphics with no lag so far 🙂
