Debate of the best MOBA game, is it LoL, DOTA 2, or something else? [Battle #3]

The third battle is a new type of battle; it’s a “debate.” Share with us your thoughts on which game title you feel is the true champion of MOBA games. The obvious choices are LoL (League of Legends) and DOTA 2, but is there something else that belongs in this discussion?

This battle begins on December 8th 2016 at 8:00pm (UTC+8) and ends on December 22nd 2016 at 8:00pm (UTC+8).

Don’t just share your choice, tell us why and prove it with your passion for the game! Only one submission for this topic but you may discuss and debate with others to earn additional entries for the grand prize draw.

Rules

• Provide your answer on which game title you think is the best MOBA game and provide your reasoning and facts to back it up. Only entries that meet these criteria will be considered a valid entry.
  
• Limit one entry per person for the biweekly prize draw but no limit for additional entries for the grand prize draw
  
• Additional qualified replies/comments will earn you additional entries for the grand prize draw. All additional qualified replies/comments on this thread or the other 3 battle topic threads will be accepted as additional entries up until January 4th 2017
  
• Qualified replies/comments must have substance and not 1-2 word replies and are helpful in carrying forward the discussion. The eligibility of each reply/comment will be determined by our ROG forum admins.

]For me the best moba game is dota 2. It is always a team effort game where everybody has a role to perform. Everyones role is critical for the team's success. It cant be look as one man who carried the team. It is always the team effort. It is also one of the game that showcases leadership and camaraderie. Also some of the members might need to sacrifice in order to win. Just like one of my favorite quote from napoleon bonaparte "loose the battle; win the war"

For me, DOTA 2 was always been the best MOBA for me. Well, it's the only MOBA I've played so far that's why. I've watched a couple of gameplays of other MOBAs from my friends like LOL, HON, HOTS but they didn't really catch my attention or really stood out for me.
DOTA 2's interface for a start is the best interface I've seen compared to the others. It just looks very appropriate, if not very clean, for a DOTA game. For me it's also user friendly, at least to DOTA players.
As for the heroes, yes DOTA 2 has a vast selection of heroes of different kinds, divided into 3 classes - the Agility, Intelligence and Strength class. The heroes are not plain looking or the mediocre ones. They are cool and very different from each other. The abilities too match well with the heroes and can create perfect combos when done with the right items and good cooperation of the players.
The game map is also nicely done. Dividing the map equally to both teams by the river in the middle. Each of the team has their own creep camps. Well, the map for me is damn good that's all I can say. XD
The HUDs is also good and the players have a choice in using different customized HUDs that can create a whole new atmosphere to the gameplay. DOTA 2 also have different game modes aside from the original mode and also have different exciting events throughout the year.
I don't know about the other MOBAs as I've not played them yet, but DOTA 2 for me is the best one. I stopped playing DOTA 2 last year so I may not be very updated about the game but what I said above came from my own experience on playing the game in the past. I'm hearing many talks from my friends that DOTA 2 recently had a huge update and some are saying the game is now trash and some says the game just keeps getting better and better. I can't relate to them 'cause I already stopped but who knows, maybe I'll get to play this game again and join the fray once more. XD
And DOTA 2's graphics are cool as hell though. 😃

Dota 2 has to be the best.

I have played both League of Legends and Dota 2, but Dota 2 takes the cake. Reason being is that a good friend of mine plays, so I would rather play the same as him. Also, he has over a thousand hours in the game, so I trust his judgement.*

Ok, IMO the best moba is dota 2 i didn't like LOL and smite that much but i have never played HOTS before! The reason that i choose dota is that i like that graphic style and the heroes and last i don't have much time so i made my choise once 😉

It's listed in the details in the original post, estimated 4 days after the battle concludes (Thursday, December 22), the winners will be announced on ROG website on Dec 26.

I started off with league of legends after playing COD2 for 6 years. It was enjoyable, the mechanics easy to understand but hard to master. After playing with it for months i felt like this game might be something i'd enjoy for years, but the community was getting worse and worse. I simply stopped caring and therefore deleted the game (this was before the pick system was introduced). I moved over to CS:GO and OVERWATCH after. OW had this prize, if you played Blizzard's other title - Heroes of the storm- you'd get a skin in OW. I tried the game, the community was helpful enough, but the game felt like Blizzard was ******* their own d. Naming the base Hearthstone, heroes are characters from other blizzard titles... felt cheap. DOTA 2 on the other hand.. I only heard good things about it. Any recommendations for someone who hasn't played it yet?

Simply because it's my first MOBA, and the one with better memories. When you don't have many friends, the time you spend playing together is so important: it makes you feel better, appreciated and usually happier (when you don't rage-quit, of course :D). I am, and always be, the noob, but this game will always be linked to some of my best memories because when you play with people you like you don't care about scores, you just go on and have a laugh whenever you are killed or you are so inefficient that your whole team loses because of you. And that's why I'll never be a professional gamer!:o
