To any CS:GO players:

I am hosting my own CS:GO dedicated server, as well as my own Mumble VOIP server. The purpose of this thread is to inform any interested players of events on said server.

Server settings are Classic Competitive; I'm pretty sure I've got the map list correctly, as well as all other settings. I have the server filled with bots 24/7, but they are booted for players (naturally). While ranks are not affected (not an official server), you can earn weapon case drops.

As I am fairly new to the server hosting thing, I encourage anyone who is interested to play on my server, and utilize the Mumble server as well; since I need input on any issues.

CS:GO Server Name: [TGC] Texas Gamers Community (found in community server list)
Mumble Server Address: texasgamerscommunity.damnserver.com (port: 64738)

I will update in this thread with any events as they arise - one is in the making for Saturday, 20 December, 2014 to really load it down.

For anyone who is not familiar with Mumble, I will post a reply to this thread later with a setup tutorial.

Additionally, with sufficient interest, it could be a heap of fun to have an unofficial Republic of Gamers team.

Thanks, everyone!

Gah. I knew I should have picked it up November.

Oh well. If it goes on sale this month, I'll likely grab it.
Say hi to the next generation.

Peace is a lie, there is only Passion

Through passion, I gain strength

Through strength, I gain victory

Through victory, my chains are broken

The Republic of Gamers shall free me

You can pretty well count on CS:GO going on sale this winter.

I can support as many users and open as many instances as is needed, should this become a popular idea.

Just a quick update:

I have added a casual deathmatch server, and I have discovered that servers can be easily added to your Favorites List by

1. Right-click on Favorites Window
2. Select "Add server by IP address"
3. Type "texasgamerscommunity.damnserver.com:[port number]" where "[port number]" is replaced by
---27015 for the competitive server
---27016 for the deathmatch server
---27017 for the arms race server

Game on, all!

Hi there!

I'm glad to hear that you're hosting your own CS:GO dedicated server and Mumble VOIP server. It sounds like you're putting a lot of effort into creating a great gaming experience for everyone.

I am also a big cs go fan. Besides classic matches, I like to collect skins for weapons like "AWP | Silk Tiger", it's quite interesting.

I would like to wish you good luck in your endeavors.
