I have an ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (FX507ZC4) - FX507ZC4-I535B6M-O and am using a Silkland USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable to connect to my Odyssey G5 monitor, which supports 180Hz at 1440p. The cable is plugged directly into the USB-C port connected to the GeForce RTX 3050 mobile GPU on my laptop.
However, my refresh rate is capped at 120Hz when using 1440p. If I switch to 1080p, I can select 180Hz.
Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?

Wait, what? DisplayPort 1.4 should easily handle 144Hz or even 240Hz at 1080p.
