Has anyone else here given this game a shot? It's a free to play shooter with a pretty good business model. It lets you fully customize your equipment and create your own weapons from a variety of unlockable (or purchasable) parts, and so far it doesn't feel like a pay-to-win system. Just picked it up a few days ago when I saw it on steam for free and its been pretty fun, and addicting.
I made a quick recording of a round of gameplay in case anyone wants to see how it looks and performs.
Recorded on my system, Specs: Rampage IV Extreme 1404 Bios 3930K @4.8GHz 1.4V (-0.050V Offset) 2x Asus GTX680 DC2Top Cards @1300MHz Boost 7008Mhz VRAM SLi (304.79 Beta Drivers) 32GB (4x8GB) G.Skill TridentX 2400MHz 10-12-12-31 1.65V 2x OCZ Vertex4 256GB Raid0 (OS and Games/Apps) 5x 2TB WD Caviar Black Raid5 (Storage) on a Highpoint RocketRAID 2720SGL Controller Yamakasi Catleap @2560x1440 60Hz
I had all settings maxed out in game, inlcuding any MSAA settings. I did not disable Aero before recording, but if you look at the top left overlay, its showing the VRAM usage slightly over 1700MB for most of it, so more VRAM may or may not help, I was running 2560x1440, with vsync on and staying comfortably at 60fps without any hitches the whole time while recording at that same resolution and 30fps.
The game looks pretty good graphically, its got a bit of a futuristic styling, so textures did have a smoother "plastic/metallic" theme which kind of makes things look a bit cartoony and less detailed. Overall a fun game, and definitely worth a try since its free.

I did a search before I posted here in case something was already posted about the game, but nothing came up o.O I don't remember seeing it posted/spammed here before.
And yeah, the item shop really didn't feel like a pay to win system, all the unlocks are obtainable through playing, either permanently, or on a rent to use basis (about 2 average games will give you enough GP to unlock a weapon for a day or 2), the item shop just made it a bit more convenient if you wanted to try something right away. But that said, all items are side grades anyways, and not strictly upgrades so unlocking "better" items didn't mean you had an advantage, just a different variation (ie: less health, more run speed, or more armor slower HRV recharge, or more ammo, slower reload time, etc)
I found it fun as a pick up and play, arcade-y type game, the HRV system keeps you in the action, so there is a lot less time spent running around looking for people (since you can look through walls to see where the enemies are concentrated). The idea of seeing through walls sounded like it would be unbalanced at first (free wallhack!) but after trying it out it felt like it added quite a bit to the feel of the game. You can't shoot while you have your HRV up and its on a cooldown so you can't use it all the time, so using it at the right times adds a tactical aspect to it. It'll also make organized team play a lot more strategic since you can plan your teams moves around where the enemy is.

Nope Sonny posted it up yesterday I checked it out and Sonny's other posts to see what previous posts were all about. We as mods do take the spam bots and the spam merchants rather seriously I can assure you.
However it is quite easy to just forgot to press post and close the tab 🙂 I certainly have done that more than once.
