Anyone else while gaming have their ROG Ally X stop recognising buttons inputs?

Hey all,

I upgraded my steam deck OLED to the ROG Ally X.

Since updating, I have had nothing but issues while gaming.

Both triggers randomly stop working untill I open a menu. Once a menu opens the triggers may work for an hour or maybe 1 press.

This also happens with all other buttons.

Yes I have tried recalibrating, manipulating trigger sensitivity etc.

I am pretty disappointed to be honest. Pay good money for a product that doesn't work as intended.

Hi @GreyBeard130

Are you sure you haven't changed from the default mapping? This is the only time I've experienced anything like what you're describing on my unit.

Ensure the Control Mode is in Auto or Gamepad Mode whilst playing.

Go into ACSE, navigate to the cog menu.
Control Mode > Configure > Game Pad Mode

Under Key Mapping, Reset to Default.

See if that helps.

Hey,

I tried this and no dice.

It seems to be for all games where using the right trigger is needed in succession and quickly (think FPS).

I am dying in every game I play as the trigger is ineffective and not working.

It seems odd that they stop working until you open a menu, though. Is that repeatable? I've moved to ROG Care for service attention. Have you contacted service for your region?
