I can say this but about 8.1 driver with sonic studio interface; Now I am happy they came back to older interface; the sound is powerful and very clear. Check the volumes from windows after installing the driver. I keep volume from phoebus to 100% and volume to windows to 80%.

Asus like asus.

The new Win 10 beta-driver.

"Dllhost.exe runtime error" when open some Windows tab.

Know-how.
1. Kill "HsMgr application" in Windows task manager.
2. Download STX Windows 10 driver "STX_8_1_8_1823_Win10", extract to some directory.
3. Rename HsMgr64.exe (for AMD64 target, or HsMgr.exe for x86) to ExMgr.exe
4. Put this file to %windir/syswow with overwrite existing ExMgr.exe
4.1 Copy HsSrv64.dll (HsSrv.dll) to %windir/syswow
5. Reboot.

Asus + Cmedia = $#^%$^$#$#@$^$%&^

This was posted in this thread by user wige wiger. It's embarrassing the lack of professionalism of Asus developers, it's been half a year since windows 10 launch and still we don't have a decent driver.

Oh, at last something. Can anyone check if they've kept the surround simulation from sonic studio? I really like what they did with it and it would be a shame to go back to xear surround crap.

First of all: I think you're the only one who loves the sonic studio. Maybe a very bad HS?
Try to use The Dolby Home Theater for an perfect 3D emulation without any halleffects and a very bad soundoutput.

Nah, i don't particularly like the sonic studio UI, but i like the 3D surround simulation (for headphones) in it, it's way better than the thd one with absolutely zero sound quality loss (thd sounds tinny), the main problem with it is that windows doesn't see it as a surround system (same with thd).

So, in terms of asus' time perception, how soon is soon exactly?
