Hey all,
Just recently built my PC and got my Xonar Phoebus setup with my Hifi headphones and a simple clip-on mic.
In the Xonar software, everything works great. The mic works, the sound works. Sound works in games etc. The card is awesome and the Dolby Settings make such a difference.
I installed Teamspeak 3, the mic didn't work during the wizard (as usual I find), but the sound did when choosing the male or female voice. Going well so far.
Went into the settings and playback, selected the "Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (ASUS XONAR PHOEBUS Audio Device), clicked "Play Test Sound" and it worked. Great!
Went to capture, selected the "Desktop Microphone (ASUS XONAR PHOEBUS Audio Device), tested the mic and it registered my voice as the bar moved, but no playback (I couldn't hear myself). Weird.
Back to playback, hit the sound test, no sound.
Hmm.
Changed the mic to default, went back to playback, set the sound to "Mono to center speaker", and the sound worked. Back to mic, sound doesn't work.
Now, no matter what I select, be it HD audio (which I turned off in the bios initially), speakers, headphones, ASUS, mono stereo, anything...now I get no sound in TS
Mic is working fine according to clanmates.
Any ideas anyone?
Driver version 7.0.1.29
Firmware version 1015
Headphones are plugged in the headphone jack, mic in the mic jack. Of course. Otherwise they wouldn't work in the ASUS software.
[Edit]
In the Windows playback device list, I have Headphones (ASUS XONAR PHOEBUS Audio Device) set as default device. I get sound in windows, games etc.
I also have "Digital Audio (S/PDIF)". When someone talks in TS, the bar there goes up and down, so sound is trying to be pushed through the Digital Audio instead of the headphones. If I disable the Digital Audio, TS says the device isn't recognized and draws a red line through the option.
