Essence STX II 7.1? Is this card dead ASUS????

It's been over a year since it's release and not a single driver/software update.

WHEN THE HELL IS ASUS GONNA GET OFF THEIR FAT ASSES AND RELEASE A DRIVER?????????????????

I went from the first STX card that was abandoned when Windows 8.1 came out and now they are doing it again?

Lucky for me my card is working fine but this is not okay it's a premium card and I expect updates. Seriously come on....

Oh, i thought they'd be supporting their new flagship better than that. Anyway, any hopes of support are dead now that asus announced their new strix lineup...

Good thing that on GPUs and MB Nvidia/AMD/Intel/realtek etc provides the drivers and not ASUS ...

Let me know how you like the X7 ? I'm thinking about getting it if Asus doesn't release a windows 10 driver soon for the Xonar Phoebus :mad:

If cards work OK what you expect... New skin for manager?
New options without reason, for anything new probably need and different hardware...
They should only to give drivers for Windows 8 and Windows 10, but just like that update .... For some issue or not?

I have Sound Blaster Z and it's very good sound, CREATIVE make good sound cards but I tried today onboard on R5E SupremeFX2014..Not only on 5 min, I carefully listen applications and games and music I usually listen and I must say Creative Sound Blaster Z is better, but ... I mean have more defined and clear effects mostly visible when you listen voice or some music classic music... But SupremeFX 2014 is fantastic onboard card, strong, gaming effects are amazing, real gaming card, even I hear much louder rear left and right speakers than with Sound Blaster Z, with SBZ I need to tune them or I don't hear them almost and center is much stronger...
On SupremeFX is better sound is on all speakers strong. Yes definitely is SBZ better but for very little.
For some 100$ speakers is enough and very good onboard SupremeFX...
Even music is not much better on SBZ but you definitely hear better sound effect...

I must find someone with Phoebus to try in my computer and compare if card is better than SBZ I could sell my and to buy Solo version only for about 100-110e...
