Can't install newest drivers for Phoebus - 7.0.1.19

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to install the newest drivers (these will probably not be good either until Asus fixes the real issues, but what the hay). In any case, I am trying to install the newest drivers and I am getting the error attached. I used perfect unistaller to unistall the drivers on the disc, but I can't get the drivers from this website to install. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Reinstalled W7 and on the newest Phoebus drivers. Man, the drivers sound soooo much better than the MS HD drivers - that is all:D

Thanks, guys! Sometimes you gotta got the nuclear option, right? I knew something was wrong when I couldn't install the newest drivers for my printer. In any case, I am now enjoying great audio during BF3. music, and video. The funny thing is that I pretty much jumped out of my seat when I entered a TDM in BF3 as I spawned next to a machine gunner and the sound of the bullets was insanely good.It has been so long since I have used the Phoebus drivers I had forgotten how much better they sound then the MS HD drivers. Thanks again updating the drivers!

yes, after going through some of this compatibility nonsense as well just to get the card working & it has never been 100% on Win 7-8-10 for me. I almost get it working without audio issues and all of a sudden it will start to stutter or pop or drop out.

But the wording on "choose not to restart" leaves a lot to be desired,, It seems dumb to me that someone would invent something that doesn't work, So either
A. they can't write code
B. the card is a lemon.
C. Both the Above.

So it makes me wonder sometimes if maybe they missed out the words:"if you " choose not to restart. They might be actually saying "if you don't restart" you will get errors..
Seems to me by not restarting you would cause some errors, somee dll files demand it. Anyway, why even have that option listed, the instructions have never changed and the restart button has been there from day one.
Anyway I'm due for a new system, so, once bitten twice shy as they say. This card was outdated at least 2 years ago so more than likely nothing more will come of it. What You Got is All You Get
It should have been a great card if Asus had put some decent money into its upkeep. It may have been right up there at the top but sadly I think it will go in the Lemon list under: Windows Vista & BetaMax

Used Vista three years every day without reinstalling and that system i really liked.
