Hi all, as the title I have a problem with my sound card asus strix soar, when cold boot is not detected the card, you need a windows reboot to see the card.

Until last week everything was all right, suddenly it has this cold boot problem.
You hear the relay (click click) only on reboot, coem if the bios does not initialize the sound card, if I go on windows management devices marks the error 45 hw not inserted correctly, obviously disappears on reboot.

My motherboard is the ASUS HERO X z370 with a 8700k mounted.

I have owned the strix soar for two and a half years and never a problem.

What can it be? Quick start deactivated by both bios and windows.

Please help me

Hi,

Can you confirm if this happens at optimised defaults (No overclocking / XMP)?

The click you're hearing is normal on the Soar.

Yes, the pc is all at default, f5 settings on hero x's bios.

I know that the click is normal, so I wonder why it is recognized after several reboots, I think it is a problem as a media, I said device migration not performed.

Have you attempted to try alternate PCIE ports?

I am having the same problem as well. I even tried changing the PCI-E port but the soundcard is not detected by the OS.
I cannot even reinstall drivers because the soundcard is not detected, even if it is powered up..

I'm having the same problem since december. Have to wait 5 minutes after a cold to boot to detect the sound card.
