Hello everyone, could someone tell me what these protocols are, because I'm not sure which one to use for games,
I have an Orange France 2gbit offer, connected to gt-axe 11000, and I use Surfshark VPN, when I turn on wiregurad, I have a delay of 300 ms on the servers - I checked with UNP and the open nat function - the same, when I turn on the open vpn protocol, I have a delay of 44 - 53 ms, but the game plays strangely, as if something was wrong, and I will add that I turned off IPv6 because I heard that it doesn't work, it works fine with VPN,thank you in advance for your help

From personal experience, WireGuard usually offers faster speeds, but as you've noticed, it might not always be optimal for gaming due to higher ping times. OpenVPN tends to be more stable and compatible with various network configurations, which might explain the lower latency you're seeing.

However, if you're finding gameplay issues with both, it might be worth looking into using a proxy. Sometimes VPNs can introduce odd behavior in games, especially if the game is sensitive to routing changes. Proxies can be a simpler solution that still provides anonymity without as much overhead that might affect your connection stability. My understanding is for games you do NOT want VPN.  VPN Fusion is designed so you can VPN other clients and leave gaming clients a direct link to the game server.

no, I just want to use it but I'm writing so that someone can tell me what protocols and settings are good for the game
