Twitch error #2000 on Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro

Hello everyone,

This is a very weird situation.  Until last night, everything was working fine, and today (17-9-25) when i tried to watch a stream on Twitch, I continually got error #2000 (network issues).

I have 2 internet services at home and I tried connecting my computer directly to both modems (one of them is where the router is connected) and I was able to watch the stream with no issues.
This happened with both the browser version and the ios twitch app.

So I have been able to isolate that this error only occurs when twitch is accessed through the modem. This is weird, as I was watching streams yesterday with no issue and there doesn't seem to be any update to the modem between then and now. No change has been made to the router either.

Anyone has any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Just to clarify please the issue with twitch is error #2000, and it only shows if connected through the GT-AX11000 Pro?  Bypassing the router the problem goes away, so the modems work and also through cellular (iOS)?  Which browser and what type of computer, was it a Mac, PC, or Chromebook?

Yes, when connected to the modem, twitch shows error #2000. This is something that only happens when connected to the modem.

I have tested this with Firefox, Brave and Edge browsers as well as iOS twitch app (wired and wireless).

If I connect my computer and phone directly to any of my 2 modems, twitch works fine.

The night before, this was not an issue. I was watching streams with no issue. From what I observed, there were no updates of changes to the modem (I live alone, no one has access to the modem) that could signify any change to its settings that could produce this problem.

Of course, I tested many solutions on the computer as part of the process, checking internet connection, changing dns, cleaning browsers cache, deactivating all browser extensions and rebooting the modem. Only thing I have not peformed is a factory reset, which is the last thing I wanted.

"Yes, when connected to the modem, twitch shows error #2000. This is something that only happens when connected to the modem...

...If I connect my computer and phone directly to any of my 2 modems, twitch works fine."

I'm afraid you say it fails to work connected to the "modem", then in the second sentence say it works fine connected to the "modems".

Could you possibly share the models that it works with, and the models that it doesn't work?  I'm afraid I'm confused.  Maybe you mean when connected to the GT-AX11000 router is when it doesn't work?  Do you have 2 routers as well?  Are they both GT-AX11000?

What are your ISPs?

ISPs can actually push updates to their modems without notifying you of doing so...
