ATT Fiber on a BGW320-500 with Pass Through set up
Just replaced a Nighthawk RX7500 with the GT AX11000 Pro.
The Nighthawk was set to Bridge Mode and utilized 10.0.0.x for LAN IPs. The ASUS defaults to the Wireless Router and assigns 192.168.50.x. I selected Media Bridge and rebooted and was presented a message about a reboot being required after which the router was in AIMesh Mode, which is an entirely different Mode option. Could be I clicked the wrong Mode radio button but regardless - is Media Bridge what I need for a set up comparable to the Nighthawk? Or is there a reason I should leave it Wireless Router and just go through the apps where the 10.0.0.x IP exists and change to the new 192.168.50.x?
Another issue that's odd. When I first set up the router I named it Pilot24. That has since been changed to the name of he previous network so all devices will reconnect, two Win 11 laptops connected via ethernet still show to be connected to Pilot24 when I hover over the Network icon. Why?
TIA

I have the same gateway and there's two ways that I suggest using the new AX11000 Pro:
With the BGW320 set to IP Passthrough I would use Router Mode with AiMesh. (This is default on ASUS routers). The goal is to get the BGW320 to pass the WAN address given it to the AX11000 Pro. (I turn off both WiFi channels on the BGW320).
Second option I've tried is set the BGW320 to default router mode, but again disable/turn off both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Since you have IP Passthrough this would involve resetting the BGW320 to defaults. Then I would switch the AX11000 to Access Point Mode with AiMesh.
I don't think you want both IP Passthrough and Bridge Mode. You want one or the other to be assigning IPs via DHCP.
(Unfortunately I had a late evening class that ended at 9 pm last night and class this morning at 8, so my mind is blurry right now)....
(EDIT- I don't know much about Netgear routers but it seemed to be running in Router Mode based on the IPs you note. Also Windows recognizes a name and stores it. It will not change it based on you changing it on the other end/router side. I think you'd have to manually change it if you want to in Windows settings somewhere).

I had both 2.4 and 5 turned off on the BGW320 when the Netgear was connected and they remain off. That was primarily because the BGW did an exceedingly poor job managing all the connected devices. I'll watch for any other responses but based on your experience I need to leave the ASUS in default router/mesh mode and sort out the stored IPs.
Network Name - In Control Panel pr Network Settings I can a place to change only the Adapter name. Only place I found to change the connection name was in the Registry. Changed it but I suppose a reboot is needed because it still shows the old name in Network Settings. A minor issue.

Are these manually assigned IPs? You can change the LAN IP of the router from 192.168.50.1 to 10.0.0.1 and the DHCP server will assign 10.0.0.x to your devices/clients....

The IPs were assigned by the Netgear device then I set several of those as static.
I was looking through the ASUS settings today and found where to set the IP. Easier to do that and then set statis IPs for the devices that need them. Thanks
