RT-BE88U - Can I Set up a VLAN with a different Subnet and assign it to SFP port to Feed a Switch?

I am asking if it is possible and what the correct way to set it up would be:

I want to tether an 8-port switch off of the SFP port (with the required transceiver adapter)

Do I go into Guest Network Pro and set it up there, set the IP and then set the VLAN port to Trunk and select the guest network I just created?

My Asus router is on xxx.xxx.0.1 and I want to make the switch run as xxx.xxx.1.1 subnet. (I'm thinking about eliminating a slower Linksys secondary router on that subnet and replacing with a switch as I lack enough RJ45 ports on the one router alone).

For example, I set up a guest network on 52.1 subnet (wi-fi) but I see that in the VLAN menu, I can select a port and assign it as trunk for this IP address).

So I'm thinking of taking the SFP port (with RJ45 adapter) and assigning that to a virtual network with a xxx.xxx.1.1 subnet and using that to feed a switch with all of the devices that are currently on that subnet on a Linksys inner tier router.

If that works, then the remaining question is can I block internet on specific PCs on the switch on that VLAN subnet from within the Parental Controls, or does it block the whole SFP port and all it's clients? I have some workstations that are offline but networked on the internal LAN presently on the second tier Linksys router.

Have I explained this clearly enough to make sense of what I'm trying to accomplish with my network setup?

Mark
