Here is a weird issue I've been trying to resolve for a while
I'm having issues with my macbook air 2 printing to my canon printer mb5460.
I am using a Asus router RT-AX86U Pro (192.168.0.100) and for some reason after a while it blocks the macbook air from printing or pinging the printer ip address. (other devices can still be pinged, and the macbook air, has full internet access etc).
At the same time, I can print and ping the printer from a windows pc.
If i restart the wireless router the macbook air can print and ping the printer (for a while). The issue is specifically with this RT-AX86U Pro router and printing/pinging the printer from the macbook.
its like for some unknown reason and undefined time the RT-AX86U Pro router deliberately blocks the macbook air from connecting/pinging the printer 192.168.0.10
I have no idea why this is happening, specifically since the RT-AX86U Pro router is configured in AP mode only, and why does it only affect the ping/printing of the macbook air.

If I restart the mac book the issue is still there. If I connect the mac book to another wireless router on the network it can print. As soon as I switch back to the Asus router the problem happens. So it seems the Asus router for some reason blocks this printer specifically with the mac book only, until I restart the Asus router.
I just don't understand why because the Asus router is in AP mode only. So it shouldn't be doing any security or firewall blocking.

also if i change the mac address of the macbook, the asus router allows it to ping/print, if i change the mac address back then it stops.
if i restart the wifi on the asus router, then the printing works again. so something in the asus firmware is telling it to block the macbook printing only, everything else works fine. this is really weird. i reset both the asus router and the main router its connected to.
